Cardiff Castle

Cardiff Castle is one of Wales' leading heritage attractions and a site of international significance. During 2000 years of history, the Castle has been a Roman Garrison, a Norman stronghold and in Victorian times was transformed into a gothic fairytale fantasy.

Special Events

There are special events throughout the year; from midsummer evenings with Shakespeare, a Medieval Melee at the height of the summer to an evocative Victorian Christmas. There are also musical performances, lectures on art and architecture, hands-on craft activities for children and medieval jousting.
